Waterford athletes and clubs to the fore at Munster Championships

It was quite a successful day for Waterford juvenile athletes and
their clubs at the Munster Cross Country Championships in Turnpike,
Two Mile Borris Co Tipperary on Sunday last. One of the best
performances of the day came from Jake Bagge Ferrybank AC who had an
effortless and very impressive win in the under 14 race which was not
any great surprise as he had won two county titles in recent weeks in
facile fashion, others to impress for Ferrybank were Jake Coffey 3 rd
in the under 10 grade in a huge field, Eoin Browne 4 th under 18 and
Órla Queally 7 th under 18 ,their boys under 14 team were third club.
Waterford AC had a terrific team win in the inter club section with
their girls under 14 squad and these were Lynsey Mc Guire, Emer Mc
Glynn, Emma Caulfield and Anna Duffin while Barry Keane was 8 th under
18.  For West Waterford AC Sean Curran ran a fine race to finish
second in the under 18 age group, Miceál Power was fourth under 16  5
th placings were secured by Aoife Hamiltom u 18 and Oisin O'Riordan u
12. Others to secure top ten placings were Ali Cunningham 7 th under
10, Cian O'Riordan 9 th under 14, Lucy Holmes 10 th under 14 and
Caoimhe Prendergast also 10 th under 10. They had second placings in
the inter club team sections with the girls u 14 and girls u 18 and
third places with the boys under 16 and girls under 16. In the Inter
County team section Waterford won the boys under 8 title the team
being Sean Curran, Eoin Browne, Barry Keane, Shane O'Riordan, Liam
