East Munster Schools Results

On Wednesday April 29 th the East Munster Girls Secondary Schools
track and field championships were at the RSC and athletes from
Waterford schools dominated the championships winning numerous
.Doubles were recorded by the following athletes. Senior; Niamh Mc
Nicol Stella Maris Tramore 100 and 200 metres, Aisling Quinnn Ursuline
800 and 1500 m,Siobhan Whelan Presentation Waterford long jump and
triple jump, Megan O'Connor St Augustine's shot putt and pole vault.
Intermediate Caoimhe Dwyer St Augustine's 200 m and 300 m hurdles
Denise O'Connor Stella Maris sprint and hurdles,Emma Hallahan St
Augustine's minor triple jump and junior triple jump The other winners
were Neasa Murphy Ursuline high jump, Isobel Morgan Abbey CC walk,
Annmari Doth St Pauls javelin, all senior, Chloe Fennell steeplechase,
Megan Dunford both St Augustine's long jump,Orlaith O'Brien Ursuline
javelin, Sinead O'Regan do high jump, Iaryr Hennessy Abbey hurdles,
Niamh Denn Ursuline discus, Aisling O'Connor St Augustine's pole
vault.all junior and Aoife Hamilton Mean Scoil San Nioclas won the
under 16 1 mile.

County Championships begin

Sunday next is day 1 of the County Track and Field Championships at
the R.S.C. with the first event timed for 11 am sharp. Lots of events
for juveniles, juniors, seniors and masters have a 100 and 1500 metres
All clubs asked to provide officials to enable the event be run off
smoothly..

 Road Races

Two road races go ahead in the area this weekend. On Friday with a
7.30 pm start the second race in the Outfield Sports Three County
Challenge is in Portlaw over 5 miles on a new course. Entries from
6,30 pm at The Forge Inn. On Sunday with an 11 am start the Ferrybank
GAA 10 km Community Run has an 11 am start with entries at the GAA
Centre from 9 am. .

Colleges Fixtures

East Munster Boys this Wednesday May 7 th 11.30 am Templemore, with
lots of Waterford participants, Munster Finals Saturday May 17  th
Cork  IT. 9.30 am and All Ireland Finals Saturday May 31 st Tullamor
