WLRFM/Viking Marathon on Saturday

Over 2000 will compete in the third annual WLRFM Viking Marathon, Half
Marathon and Quarter Marathon in the city on Saturday next starting at
City Hall at 9.14 am. The courses can be seen on the Marathon website
and all three races will finish at RSC. all data will be given to the
entrants. The full Marathon will take in Tramore, the Half Marathon
the outer Ring Road and quarter more or less in the city  If by chance
anyone has registered to run in any of the three races and find out
they cannot run on Saturday please do NOT pass on your number to
another person as this will make it a nightmare for those looking
after the results. There will be lots of support around the course as
regards stewarding, first aid and watering stations just be careful
where there are cats eyes on the roadside and do not run in three's
and four's abreast to avoid those behind  being unable to see them and
drivers are asked to be patient or take alternate routes. Competing in
her 100 th Marathon will be 4 times National champion Mary B Ryan
Jennings Waterford AC despite a serious leg injury received 10 weeks
ago.

5 position and while we fell a bit short of that position overall I am
very proud of the team. We finished the best team on the track overall

expectations,  there were solid performances from many of the field
event. athletes”
