European u 23 Championships - Tampere, finland.

It was a superb championships for club members Thomas Barr and Shane Quinn. Shane contested the gruelling 10,000m event and performed brilliantly finishing in fourth place in a time of 29.49.43 just a fraction away form a medal. Thomas Barr won his 400m hurdle heat in 50.11 and produced an amazing semi final performance of 49.78 for third and earned his place in the final. This time is just .04 off the national senior record and is a new u 23 record. He finished 8th in the final in 50.14. A tremendous championship for both athletes. Well done lads!
