Absolutely marvellous results in Athlone for our club at the National Inter varsity championships. Thomas Barr won the 400m in a pb 46.98 just marginally outside the world indoor standard. Niall Tuohy won a really loaded 800m in a tactical race and Niamh Whelan took the 200m in 24.51. Tom Boucher won the weight for distance. Sean Archer jumped a pb of 14.01 for silver in the high jump and Shane o Dwyer had a pb of 2.00m for bronze in the Hugh jump. Sorcha Murphy made a welcome return to competition with a super bronze in the high jump with a leap of 1.64m. Ciara Cronin was third in the 800m in 2.17. Well done to all.
