East Munster Girls Championships

On Wednesday May 2 nd athletes from Waterford Schools did very well at
the East Munster Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships at
the RSC. The Following won their events: Senior Kate Hickey St
Declan's, Kilmacthomas Shot Putt and Discus, Megan Kiely Ursuline 400
Metres and 400 Metres Hurdles, Nicole Rowe Presentation Convent, 800
M, Bronagh Kearns, Abbey C.C. 3000 M, Kate Veale St Augustine's 3000 M
Walk( Record ), Sorcha Murphy, Stella Maris Tramore, High Jump, Aideen
Power Ard Scoil na n Deise,Triple Jump, Ciara Scanlon do Hammer.
Intermediate: Aisling Quinn, Ursuline 800 and 1500 M, M Niamh McNicoll
Stella Maris,  100 M Siobhan Whelan Presentation, 200 M Tara Lacey
Abbey CC 2000 M Walk,  Neasa Murphy Stella Maris, High Jump, Niamh

Waterford and District Primary School Sports

The RSC was the venue on Thursday last for above and there was a huge
entry. Ballygunner won the best overall school Award, Ursuline best
Girls School, Tie between St Declan's and Scoil Lorcain for best Boy's
and Portlaw best Rural School. The Following were the winners ;Girls u

County Championships begin.

On Sunday next  the first section of Waterford County Championships
are at the RSC and they begin at 11 am sharp. Lots of events for
Juvenile, Junior, Senior and Masters and it is hoped each category
will be supported to the full by all clubs. The  programme of events
is with clubs for over two months and lots of help is required on
Sunday from all the clubs in the County

Portlaw Road Race on Friday

The Annual Tom Jordan Memorial 5 Miles Road Race is in Portlaw this
Friday May 11 th at 7.30 pm ,Walkers @ 6.30pm
Registration from 6.15pm in the Resource Centre Portlaw (The Square
Portlaw) Co. Waterford, there's a 10 Km in Clonmel on Sunday next at 2
